The Story About A Celebration Of Life Begins With Lunch

On a regular afternoon in St. Augustine, Florida, a group of special people gathered at a local restaurant for one purpose: enjoying a meal, celebrating their achievements, sharing inspiration, and encouraging each other. They came from all disciplines for lunch every Friday, including parents and realtors, mortgage brokers and medical assistants, life coaches and flower shop employees. Many represented their own entrepreneurial ventures, such as jewelry making, business coaching, spas, and health clubs. No matter where they came from, they were there to spend an hour of support and fellowship with each other. These weekly luncheons in five other cities are sponsored by the Women's Celebrations organization and are attended by both men and women. Each lunch, according to founder Cheryl Lynn, has a theme that represents the independence and success that everyone desires. The themes ranged from "wonderfulness" to "confidence" and "work." At the applause-themed rally, each participant in the group explained why they deserve applause. Members talked about out-of-state career changes, career changes, business outcomes, and personal joy. Each speaker received warm applause as they took some time to "confront their strength." Lynn expressed the ability of people to find success and empowerment within themselves. It was necessary to celebrate everyday things, and Rin urged to create a women's celebration. Despite her success as an entrepreneur with her three mothers, she felt exhausted and discouraged at the end of the day. "After completing these great things, I didn't tap my back and certainly no one else," Lin said. By establishing Women's Celebrations, she created an environment where support and encouragement play an important role. Today, Women's Celebrations has a strong presence in Northern Florida, displaying additional chapters, or "loops," throughout the country. This organization is open to anyone who wants to celebrate their life, share their experiences through positive interaction with others, and build a sense of community.
