The most popular insecticides on the market contain large amounts of chemicals in their formulations that are not only toxic to the insects but also to you. On the other hand, you should also keep in mind that by applying these insecticides, you are not only killing the pests, but also other insects, and some of them can be beneficial. As a result, the balance of the environment is disturbed, which in the end can be even more harmful than the plague itself.
If you want to control pests in your garden more naturally without resorting to chemical pesticides, in this article I will share with you useful and easy homemade pesticides.
1. Garlic-based spray
Garlic's properties make it a very good repellant for insects. A few days ago, I used it in my garden against army worms. The method is very simple. You can prepare a garlic spray by just crushing one head of garlic in a blender along with two cups of water until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. After grinding, you must leave it for 24 hours and then dissolve it with 3 liters of water. That's it. You can put it in a container with a spray bottle and spray this solution on the plant. You will see how insects will begin to avoid these plants.
2. Tomato-based repellents
Tomato leaves are rich in alkaloids, an excellent repellant to aphids, caterpillars and caterpillars. You can prepare an insecticide that will repel insects by following this recipe.

You need to mix 2 cups of vegetable oil with half a cup of pure liquid soap, shake until a white mixture remains, dilute in water, and use a spray nozzle to spray. It's best to apply in the morning or afternoon when the sun's rays are less intense, as long as the temperature doesn't exceed 30 °C. This will make the insecticide more effective.
7. Egg shell repellent
To end this list of homemade insecticides, I leave you with a homemade insecticide made from eggshells. I left it for last as it is definitely the easiest to prepare.
Just mash the eggshell and apply this powder to the base of the tree. It will be very effective to repel slugs, snails, and some caterpillars. At the same time, it will work as a very good fertilizer.
