Everyone has a list of things to explore and try for the first time at least once in their life. Which is yours? For me, this is a list of places I look forward to visiting in the next few years. Life is all about experiences, and there's no better time to let loose than now. After all, a list of adventures is more awesome than going on a regular vacation. Check items off as you complete them and add new ones as you explore.
So here is some inspiration for planning your to-do list.
1. Catch a flight to Sydney
When it comes to must-see destinations in Australia, there's only one city that pops into your mind for a few seconds, and that's the New South Wales capital, Sydney. Recognized as one of the most luxurious cities in the world, the city is packed with attractions to keep you busy for more than a month. This stunning city begins to show its true beauty as the sun begins to set, and you can best experience it on a dinner cruise at Sydney Harbour, a popular attraction in the city. Choose from top vessels, including an authentic paddle steamer, a luxury glass boat, or a multi-million dollar catamaran, and embark on a relaxing journey across the harbor port while enjoying sumptuous food and drink. Have your camera ready at all times as you pass the iconic Opera House, Harbor Bridge, Fort Denison and more. If you're a day tripper, you can opt to join a lunch cruise at Sydney Harbor and experience the city's elegance in the sun. Witnessing the nation's legendary icons has never been easier!
2. Marvel at the Taj Mahal
Recognized as one of the wonders of the world, the Taj Mahal attracts millions of visitors from all over the planet every year. More than the actual physical structure, what catches the attention of most visitors is the epic story behind the construction of this monumental building! The Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan erected the Taj Mahal in honor of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal, who died while giving birth to their fourteenth child. This historic building took over 20 years to build and is constructed of white marble and semi-precious stones. People from all over the world flock to see this wonder and spend a day or two in the area, seeing all the history and stories of the Mughal era. If you plan to visit India, this should be your first stop. You should visit early in the morning at sunrise, when the crowds are less and the light hits the white marbles!
3. Head to Grand Canyo
Like Sydney, the Grand Canyon tops many wish lists for its vast natural beauty. You may have seen it in thousands of movies, but no visual representation can do justice to this landscape. You will have to soak in the innate beauty of the orange rocks and the sheer size of the actual canyon. There are many ways to tour the Grand Canyon, but the ideal way is to enter the South Rim of the Grand Canyon National Park, one of the best hiking spots in the region. Once you're inside, you'll find plenty of pictures of the canyon's brown hues to click through, and your camera won't rest! Capturing the sunrise or sunset in this unique landscape offers one of life's most beautiful sights. You will see it.
